hyacinth sparkles & rage

hi loves!!! it's gloomy, rainy weather so I wanted to use a sparkly polish to brighten up the mood. this nubar "hyacinth sparkle" is lovely! I saw it on my friend xtina's pic and I couldn't hold back and went to get it..it's finely milled glitters and has amazing sparkling pay off..the nubar sparkles comes in a lot of different colors, also, compared to something like opi "burlesque" sparkles, it's a lot more finely milled, but in return, it makes it quite sheer, so you'd have to use 2-3 coats to get thick results

chipotle steak bowl with almost all the toppings, and their yummmmmy guacamole with sourcream and salted, lime chips..I always eat this once a week


i've been hooked on "bo luc lac" (shaken beef) it's a vietnamese rice/fried rice dish with sauteed filet mignon meat with some veggies and it's deliciousss! i recommend this to you if you ever go to a vietnamese food place next time or you can make it at home, too!

girl scouts thin mints! they're sooooo good! everytime i eat em in class i always finish a whole roll, but then it sucks because i have a tummy ache afterwards, but then again "too much of anything is never good" :(

HK house boots! my bestie gifted me these, she knows how much i love HK..she said it was suppose to be part of my bday gift for april, but she couldn't wait and gave them to me last night, they're so soft and warm! she got them at burlington coat factory and said they come in slipper form, too..i will bring these with me when i go to NYC at the end of april! thanks, bff! i love you!

i have been seeing cropped tops everywhere! and finally caved in and have been collecting a few, but i still have to work out harder to slim down the tummy so i can rock these..i picked up this one from f21 today, it's silk and the print is to die for! are you guys feeling the cropped tops??

fancy fucshia

quick NOtD! the sad thing about orly is..even though the formulation is good and opaque, it chips easily..the "ancient jade" started chipping on me at the edges and it oCD-Ed me, so I had to repaint lol here's a quick one! it's bright and pretty! I'm forgetting about darker shades and jumping into spring/summer shades

then I stopped by imperial today with my sister so she can haul and I picked up two shades for myself..

look at these large crates of polishes!! 8 big towers infront of imperial with more polishes! they even have these no name crackle line (I didn't get to take pics of cause I left my phone in the car) but it looked nice, I don't know how it works though, will get some next time :) maybe have a giveaway for the crackles! hope you enjoyed this one!

favorites of the week!

hi loves!
it's my weekly favorites time again! these following beauty products ive had for a few months, but I adore them
so much. these products are in my weekly routine. they're mostly drugstore, BIG bang for your buck!


Aussie "3 minute miracle" it's a deep conditioner that I use twice a week..it smells like pineapple coconut and that is a plus for me, I wash my hair and use a good amount on the ends and work the rest onto the top of my head, i rinse it off after I finish doing my business in the shower and the last rinse, I rinse with COLD WATER! it sounds super painful, and it issss, BUTT it makes the hair SUPER soft and shiny for the following days, I really like this product because it's only $5 a tube and lasts for a while and is effective!


I use to buy this body wash in the mini travel size for Vegas and mini trips, and always loved the smell of "white peach and sold blossom," it's a soft scent that is comforting, I had to use up all my bath and body works body washes and finally got a chance to pick this up, and I'm addicted! can't stop sniffing it! next time you are at the body wash section, give it a sniff!


purity cleanser.. what can I say? my second jug, can't rave enough about this cleanser! gentle, smells wonderfullllll (like eucalyptus) and takes off all my make up! even when I'm not wearing make up, I use this, it leaves my face feeling soft and clean


I picked this up randomly a few months ago, since I've tried the st. Ives "apricot scrub" and it was too rough for my skin, but this is a great alternative! smells like green tea, has tiny scrubbing particles and does the job well! I use twice a week to exfoliate the dead skins that builds up on my face, helps me break out less..only a few dollars!

I usually go out to the movies on weekends or stay in and netflix with the boyfriend and I can't believe I've heard so much about this movie and finally saw it tonight!

"sleepless in Seattle" (1993) with Tom hanks and Meg ryan


this movie is so romantic! has an old time feel to it and I cried and laughed at the same time..definitely a chick flick, but so worth watching


makes me want to go to new York..which i am going to on my birthday at the end of april with the boyfriend!!! we were enabled by this movie :) I really want to see the empire state building and eat new York pizza!

el pollo loco's caramel flan. everytime I'm in need of a pickmeup, the bf knows to get this for me. 1.99 cup of joy! I've tried A LOT of flan and this one is perfecttttt! egg-y, not too sweet and melts in my mouth..mmmm


jollibee! I love their spaghetti, chicken and lumpias!! so does the bf! we eat a lot of different types of foods from different ethnics and are constantly exploring..it's seriously the most amazing adventure when treating the palate to new tastes..(I ate the two pies to myself in one sitting, it was super crunchy, crispy and fried goodness lol)

notd: luxe & ancient jade

ok, I was wrong, I was just reminded of why I like orly again.. it's LONG BRUSH and super opaque, cream consistency! I only needed one coat and it looked like two coats! but I did a second thin coat to fill in the nooks and crannies..here's a quick notd


orlys "ancient jade" (a cream, light green with a slightttt grey tone shot through it) && orly "luxe" it is love!!!!! I own a few gold polishes, but this one is GOLD! it's so shiny, pretty, and opaque! closest to liquid gold I've seen.. my nights of lusting about it is over, now it's on my ring finger! it's a permanent shade! so do buy! I have the orly's silver "dazzle," too, and that's liquid silver! great to nail stamp with! since they're more thick than most polishes..

spring polishes!!

i stopped by imperial for my weekly dosage, and I swear, I never ever leave that place without 4 or less polishes!! but the spring stuff was out!!! so I had to! the Katy perry and china glaze crackles restocked, but are partially sold out in popular colors again! :( still so rare! here's so eye candies and stuff for you to look forward to!

clinique's cute creation

I was watching pixiwoo's recent make up tutorial and She was using this cuteeee clinique bottom lash mascara and I had to have it!! i have the stila smudgeproof double ended mascara with the thin lower lash wand (which i adore), but this looks like it works so well! can't wait to receive it!! check it out, babes!! perfect size!

wanna be a-lone star/contest weiner!

hi babes!
I painted my nails really quick, no cleaning, no precision, just wanted to replace the red I had on previously..

tip: when removing a dark polish, there's usually left over in the cuticles and the nails are a bit yellow, just take a break for a day and let them breathe! and then paint with a new color.. letting it breathe and washing your hands often can clean out the leftover coloring and that stained tint :)

opi "wanna be a-lone star" I hateeeeee this color! I never thought I'd ever say that about an opi product! one coat was super streaky and two coats evened it out, BUTT the color doesn't suit my skin tone.. I'm going to give this to baby sister (my n/p inheritor lol). it's a muted baby blue, with grey undertones and is semi duo chrome..

happy LOVE day!! i hope you all have a great one, it's seriously a hallmark holiday to me, and love should be celebrated EVERYDAY, but there's nothing wrong with going a little extra mile just to sit back, reminisce and laugh about your relationship whether it be with the significant other or with girlfriends/friends/family :)

i want to dedicate this post to the most humble and hardworking man i know (besides my father), my boyfriend Hieu Cao. he doesn't get enough praise from me (as he'd LIKED lol), but he is the most amazing person i have ever met. i've been in a few serious relationships since high school and have experienced EVERYTHING damaging possible from the "bad relationship" book, but i never gave up hope that i'd find prince charming one day.. i have never truly love unconditional and selflessly until i met hieu five years ago..we've been on a long journey and have had our share of relationship tests, but in the end we belonged in each others' arms..he teaches me things daily..and vis versa..he takes good care of me when i'm sick, checks to see if i'm hungry or unhappy/happy everyday, supports me in EVERYTHING i do in life..from beauty blogging to school/finances. on top of that he spoils me rotten..rarely lets me pay for meals & things, and calls me his "investment" because when i'm a gyno. i owe him a race car lol he's also my protector, he will BEAT ASS for me if i can't beat it myself.. i'm seriously so lucky and i remind myself everyday..in return i try to give him the same respect that he gives me. as i've learned, respect & compromising is the two main keys to a successful relationship. human beings aren't mind readers, so with a little communication & compromise, it goes a longggg way...

i don't mean to preach or anything, but that's just a little bit of a soap box lol

we go on mini dates every weekend, but this one was especially special..

on saturday night he dangled this in front of my face, we agreed on no gifting, but he always knows exactly what i like..t&c twice a year..i felt so bad and overwhelmed, my eye got teary

it was a beautiful sunday! the cherry blossoms in front of the house were coming into full bloom! i love spring season the most! esp here in cali

my HK helmet :) we cruised to lunch and around town to run errands, it was the first time i agreed to go on the freeway with him on the bike and OMG, i almost threw up! 90mph with force pushing back is crazy! felt like a rollercoaster! after swallowing my barf a little, i got used to it and started to enjoy it

miso chicken balls :) these are my favorite! they taste like sticky rice, with chicken and has a miso taste to it

hakata pork base ramen with bamboo, pork, ginger..they let you pick the level of oiliness for the brother, firm or soft or medium for the noodles and broth..i always get everything normal

then we stopped by rocky mountain chocolate shop at the block of orange and i grabbed some milk chocolate strawberries for us, these things are HUGE! the size of my palm! i recommend em' cause the chocolate outside is delicious!! not too sweet and not to bitter, just right! comes in white chocolate, dark chocolate, and you can get nuts topping, too

then we rode to get bike parts and stopped at boba loca for drinks..here is the boyfriend's other two lovers, his brother and his friend tony

i used to get milk tea and thai tea and all those milky drinks a lot when i worked at tapioca express for a year back in the days, but now i just stick to sweetened black tea or green tea with bobas..and if i'm feeling adventurous then i'll add diff. fruits and jellies

then we went home and got ready for our dinner....

orange hill restaurant, it's sooo pretty at night, the view is gorgeous, and the restaurant is decorated with lights everywhere! even on the drive up there are lights on all the trees

yummy breads, sour dough and raisin bread

calamari for appetizer, which i ate 2/3 of! cause the bf wanted to save his stomach for his meal, but it was so good! in a buttery, creamy sauce and with lemon squeezed on top, perfection..the lemon had a cloth over it so the seeds don't fall through, so smart! i love it when restaurants pays attention to little details, that's what keeps me coming back

my shrimp/lobster ravioli..the filling inside had mushrooms and it was sweet and savory..i loved it!


we went outside to enjoy the view by the fire pits they have all lined along the balcony
